Privacy

Short version: your shifts and pay stay on your phone. We don't have accounts, we don't track you, and we never sell anything.

The app

Your shifts, settings and payslips are stored on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud backup, a copy goes to your own iCloud account, which only you can read.
Calendar sync, if you turn it on, writes your shifts to a "Paytective" calendar on your phone.
Roster and payslip scanning: a photo or roster message you choose to scan is sent to our scanner, which uses an AI service provider (which may be outside Australia) to read it. We don't store it. The provider keeps it only briefly for safety checks, and it isn't used for advertising or to train AI. Only the shifts or pay figures come back; names, addresses, tax file numbers and bank details are not kept. Roster messages the app can read on your phone aren't sent anywhere.
Pay rules: the app downloads the latest award rates and tax tables. That request contains no information about you.
Crash reports: if the app crashes, a report of the error (app version, iPhone model and iOS version) is sent to our crash reporting service, Sentry. It contains no shifts, pay figures or personal details.
Purchases are handled by Apple. We see that Pro is unlocked, not your payment details.
No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs are in the app.

The pay calculator runs in your browser; what you type isn't sent anywhere. The site doesn't use cookies or tracking.
